Federal University Dutsin-Ma Holds Its 9th Convocation Ceremony.

At its 9th convocation ceremony, Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina conferred degrees and diplomas upon 5,579 students, comprising 297 postgraduates, including 18 PhD recipients, 226 Master's degree holders, 53 professional diploma recipients, and remaining postgraduate diploma holders.

Undergraduate graduates totaled 4,282, with 44 attaining first-class honors, 872 achieving second-class upper division, 2,273 earning second-class lower division, 1,076 receiving third-class, and 17 attaining pass degrees.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Armaya'u Bichi addressed the prevailing security concerns forcing the institution's relocation to its smaller temporary campus. Despite these challenges, Prof. Bichi highlighted FUDMA's recent stability and adherence to its academic calendar. Chancellor King Jaja of Opobo, Dandeson Douglas, commended the university's strides in boosting internally generated revenue and urged President Bola Tinubu's administration to address security concerns. 

Douglas encouraged graduates to embody FUDMA's values and leverage government empowerment initiatives. 

Honorary degrees were conferred upon four prominent individuals, including First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio.
